I wear white shirts a lot. I probably shouldn’t because they don’t stay clean for very long but just like white t shirts I’ll never stop wearing them, however impractical. This one is sold out now from Mango but I’ve linked another one I love the look of below.
Black and white is a go to for a lot of us and for good reason. It’s classic, effortless and always looks good. A few people have said to me they stop wearing their favourite black jeans in Summer and always go for a light wash denim instead. With that in mind I wanted to style my favourite white shirt with two of my favourite black denim pieces and try not to look like I’ve forgotten what season it is.
I think accessories make all the difference.. I’m obsessed with basket bags at the moment which you may have gathered from my Instagram. They go with absolutely everything and you can zhush them up with a tie or scarf to add colour. Dungarees can look pretty summery anyway I think. Not everyones cup of tea but I love them just with a white plain tee or vest aswell.

I brightened up this second outfit with my only Zara sale buy this time round. These pointed shoes with a bow slingback are a bit pixie but I love them. They’re not particularly comfortable though, and the fabric gets dirty really easily but for €15 I can’t complain too much! It’s so much easier to wear darker denim in the Summer if the jeans aren’t skinny. A second skin of heavy denim is a sweatfest waiting to happen. These are actually quite airy in a weird way.
So there’s two outfits with the same shirt and black denim that still manage to not look the exact same. There are a million combinations of things we can create in our existing wardrobes. Just buying one or two key pieces or accessories can really elevate and diversify what you already own!
