It’s always a bit of a panic when the sun unexpectedly comes out for a couple of days and I have nothing handy to wear. I don’t know about you but after 11 months in hiding I need a bit of notice to sort my legs out before they make an appearance. A lot of things I’d wear on holiday I wouldn’t necessarily wear here and other than that my Summer wardrobe is a bit, well.. unsummery !

We always try to go somewhere and make the most of the weather so that’s where Maxi dresses come in. They’re light and breezy enough to keep you cool without the bother of worrying about wobbly bits, hairyness or fake tan- win win! The only problem is it’s hard to find a nice one in my opinion. Coming across one with a nice, unfrumpy (not a word :/) fit without a garish print is easier said than done. I also love when materials aren’t really stiff and have some movement when you walk. I wore this one from Tularosa during the gorgeous weather last week. We went to Portmarnock beach and Howth- both fab on a sunny day. I love the colour and print. Tularosa are sold on Revolve and Asos and they have lovely some things. I got this on sale thankfully because they aren’t the cheapest. Well worth it though for something that will be pulled out year after year.  I’m wearing lace up nude sandals I got last year in Zara and they’re absolutely everywhere now.

If you scroll across above I’ve chosen some Maxi dresses that I love!
