When in doubt this is the colour I’ve been putting on my nails recently (as distinct from all the other pale pink nail polishes I own!). It’s a light enough colour that can be applied quickly without being too careful and it doesn’t look as obviously scruffy when it eventually starts to chip. The formula is gorgeously creamy, opaque and long lasting and the Gel affect leaves a lovely finish. Anything that can make my nails look polished with minimum effort is a winner in my book..
Kerastase Elixer UltimeOkay lets start with the price – €34 for hair oil seems like madness when you can pick up Morroccan oil for a few euros in Penneys BUT this stuff is amazing! Having tried loads of different hair oils this one has worked for me the best and is in a league of it’s own. I’m not sure about the long term deep conditionng benefits Kerastase claims but as an every daily nourishing de-frizzer this works wonders. Here’s why I love it
*The tiniest bit goes such a long way. In fact I can see this lasting me a whole year.
*It is so light weight and doesn’t feel greasy at all. It makes my hair look shiny and in condition without looking like I’ve got loads of product. ( I feel like some other oils including Moroccan oil can weigh my hair down)
*It smells beautiful
This is a nice, easy to wear lip balm that’s more creamy than sticky. The colour is a subtle but pretty pinky peach shade and I’ve found myself throwing this is my bag and wearing it most days for the past few weeks. With a new baby I haven’t been out much so this is pretty much all I’ve been wearing
When it comes to moisturiser I’m not loyal at all. I’ve never found one that I repurchase over and over. I picked this one up when I ran out of my last and I’ve really loved using it. It’s so hydrating in a non greasy way and looks fab under makeup. It’s apparently Paraben free and great for sensitive skin.
I can’t believe I haven’t spoken about Carmex before on the blog. It is my absolute saviour for dry lips year round and I would never be without it. I keep it (and a backup) beside my bed and put it on every single night and it is literally the only thing I have ever used that works on chapped lips. It’s only a couple of euros in most chemists and is worth a try if you never have. It beats any high end lip balm I’ve tried for effectiveness!
Rimmel Match Perfection ConcealerFor my undereye concealer lately I’ve been using Rimmel match Perfection. I mentioned it brieflyages ago in my concealers stash post. It’s a great one for brightening the undereye area. It’s quite light in consistency but has decent (not amazing) coverage. I love how brightening it is and it’s not at all drying which can be really aging especially under eyes.
Sunday Riley Luna Oil
I’ve already raved about this with a full review (HERE) but I’d rave about far more if it weren’t so bloody expensive. I manage to justify the price in two ways. For one It works! Like seriously if you have acne scarring, pigmentation or fine lines it’s worth considering. It’s a really excellent product. Secondly it lasts an age. I use this constantly and it’s still 3/4 full somehow.
Having said that there must be other Retinol based products that work just as well for far less so if you know of any I’m all ears!
