We arrived back from holiday last week after staying in a campsite for two weeks. I went on mobile home holidays in Spain and France growing up and they really are amazing for kids. They have every conceivable activity and facility to entertain them, loads of other kids to make friends with and as any parent will know, relaxing can only begin when kids are happy and occupied. Our criteria for what an enjoyable holiday makes has changed beyond recognition over the years (after some less than smooth experiences ) and I really think this is a brilliant option for right now.
I was going to write a post about it but really, as lovely as it was for us it would be beyond boring to read about. We pretty much did the same things every day and ate in or barbequed most nights.
So instead I’ve put together an edit of my my most worn piece of holiday clothing this year. I’ve said it loads of times before, I’m a huge fan of midi skirts (& sometimes maxi skirts although it’s trickier to find nice ones I think!). Living somewhere like Ireland chances are your legs won’t be ready for exposure on an out of the blue sunny day. A maxi is brilliant for keeping cool while covering up those rough pasty legs.
Midi skirts have a real retro feel to me and I love how versatile a skirt is aswell. I love wearing them with a white tee (obviously) or a cami, and they look so good with a knit when it gets cooler.
Below are some I wore and similar options, along with my favourites available in the shops at the bottom of the post!
