picmonkey IMG_1173L-R – Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and glow €65  | The Balm Mary Lou Manizer €20.50 | Benefit Watts up €35

Wearing the Mary Lou Manizer ( Pic not great quality- was taken from my phone but hopefully you can see what it looks like :/ )

I never really used to use highlighter because I felt it would draw attention to imperfections and lines and other than that I didn’t think they did a whole lot. I’v been totally converted the last couple of years and absolutely love to highlight now. In part thanks to these three products. There are loads of terrible highlighters that are more glittery than glowy. The highlighters I love aren’t that obvious immediately it’s only when you turn your face a certain way or it catches the light you can see a gorgeous sheen on the high points of the face!

I think my favourite ever has to be the Mary Lou Manizer from the Balm. It’s such a fine powder with no glitter whatsoever. You can see from the swatches it’s the lightest of the three colour wise. It gives nearly a wet sheeny look that’s really flattering. It looks fab during the day too.  Just be careful with highlighter if you’re over a certain age! make sure you wear it on top of your cheekbones away from the eye area! I usually wear it down the centre of my nose and cupids bow. Maybe a tiny bit on the forehead above my eyebrows (Sounds weird bit looks nice!)

The highlighter in the Charlotte Tilbury bronze and glow is a gorgeous golden tone. I would imagine it would suit lots of different skintones. It’s slightly more powdery than the Balm one but again a gorgeous formula that looks beautiful on. I wouldn’t buy the Bronze and glow just for the highlighter but the bronzer also happens to be so lovely. I will repurchase this when it goes!

Finally I had to include the Benefit watts up. Cream highlighters are the best for giving then natural dewy look that looks amazing especially in summer. This is a bit of a peachy gold. I usually just apply with my fingers so it’s easy to blend it in. It looks beautiful with other cream cheek products (blushes, bronzers). Have you tried any of these?

I only have a sample size of Watt’s Up that came in the blush gift set last Christmas & really like it. I have the other two products you mention & love them! Have you tried Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight? It’s gorgeous too! xx
