September Favourites

The Body Shop Camomile cleansing oilpicmonkey IMG_1991It’s September favourites time and I’ve tried a few  products I’ve been really impressed with  this month!

I’m a regular user of the Body shop camomile cleansing balm so I decided to give the oil cleanser from the range a go. Just one pump of this goes a long way. Just work it into the skin add a little water and remove with a facecloth. It  breaks down every scrap of makeup on my face including mascara. It does such a fantastic job without leaving any residue or greasiness. I’d highly recommend this if you’re on the look out for a new cleanser!

Charlotte Tilbury Magic foundationpicmonkey IMG_1994 picmonkey IMG_1995

I’v done an entire blog post about my love for this foundation (HERE) so if you want a more in depth review click on the link!  I won’t go on too much her other than to say I’v been using this for the majority of the month & I’m so impressed with the formula and finish! Charlotte Tilbury makeup is probably my favourite high end brand!

NYX HD Concealer in greenpicmonkey IMG_2000

I came across this NYX HD colour correcting concealer  randomly and picked it up having heard nothing about it. The only colour corrector I’v ever used is the Bobbi Brown under eye corrector so I was interested to try this. NYX  also have these colour correctors  in purple and yellow. They work by neutralising the colour opposite on the colour wheel. So green concealer is great for redness or acne! (Purple brightens a sallow complexion, Pinky salmon is perfect for undereye circles etc)

color_wheel-300x300 (1)  I’ve loads of redness on my skin & find that adding more product just cakes and the redness eventually shows through anyway. This stuff is brilliant for hiding it and you only need a small amount. Just apply  your regular concealer or foundation over the top and there is no sign of a green tinge anymore! I’m tempted to try their normal hd concealer now!

Soap and Glory brow archery pencilpicmonkey IMG_2009

I’d heard loads about the Soap and Glory Brow archery pencil on beauty blogs and You Tube. It’s apparently a brilliant dupe for the Anastasia brow wiz. It’s double ended- so on one end is the pencil with the tiniest nib so you can mimic your natural hairs and fill in eyebrows naturally and on the other is a very good spoolie! It’s so quick and easy to use. I am the shade hot chocolate and it’s a pretty good match. I do find I need to set it though or doesn’t last the whole day. For this I use the Maybelline brow dream mascara and the combination of the two is natural looking and long lasting !

Revon Lip Butter- Berry SmoothiePicMonkey CollageI love a berry lip at this time of year but for everyday it can look a bit Ott, especially if I’m not doing a whole lot! The Revlon lip butter in Berry Smoothie is a more subtle take on an Autumnal lip colour and perfect for everyday. It’s such a gorgeous colour and you can throw it on without a mirror. The Revlon Lip butters have been a staple for years. You can’t beat the hydrating formulas and colour options in my opinion!

We’d love to hear your recommendations for new products to try!
